The ocean makes me happy
After 5 days of hanging out near the beaches of San Diego, my love of the ocean is re-affirmed. I could sit and watch the waves roll in all day long. Maybe one day I’ll live by the ocean.
For now, a vacation on Pacific Beach will do.

You know you have a problem with social media when...
I should have known better. I was reading up on my son on Twitter (crazy, I know). Earlier today he emailed me to let me know he got jumped when he was walking down the street on the lower East side last night. Broke his glasses and now he has a nasty cut on his cheek. When designers start drinking frozen appletinis
The fourth Thursday is one of my favorite days of the month because I attend Refresh NoCo’s Designer Drinks and hang out with some of my favorite people in town - designers. They are my peeps. Though they’d all be disgusted if they heard me call them peeps (not cool enough). I like it because it gives me a chance to wear black, mingle with design and marketing folk in NoCo, catch up...
Skiing across the country side
This weekend I rediscovered cross country skiing. I haven’t been on those skinny little Nordic skiis since junior high school in Litchfield, MN. At that time I remember trying to ski around some lake near Darwin, MN (home of the world’s largest ball of twine made by one man). I also remember not liking cross country skiing because the hills scared me.
